i think that they should do this, it can educate many people but in a different, interesting way. i think only student in middle school and up should do this. i believe that kids at younger ages already have technology, and it will only get more so. i think kids should be able to do their own work and have it be interesting by adding different activities, such as a coloring page when they are younger. however, as they get older it is harder for kids and teens to stay interested in coloring pages..... so if we use technology to educate and keep people entertained, so they can pay attention to what they are doing instead of just spacing out because they're bored. but a problem would be if they have no internet connection, as mentioned, and they may go off and do their own thing, such as playing games, instead of doing their work.
tummis1919 it's hard to imagine writing code without a nice understanding of Algebra. How's that supposed to work? it can educate people about things they fascinate in computers. example if you like to code for games you need to know algebra to actually be able to code correct, or for the game to be functional. without knowing algebra or how to code, it will not be successful. So if we have time in class to learn all of this, You can do anything you want in computers. In the article they talked about Minecraft and the roller coasters,Greek, and roman architecture can help people in class learn about things in that time.
fluffypony301919-i think its OK to have schools have that tech. because like they said in the article we wouldn't need to print out papers or work sheets to work on we just work on kindle fires or mac books at school for an everyday use . and with the school budgets it would be an better economic choice . this might also be an improvement in kids who have a hard time learning they said in the article that they are making websites to teach kids math, social studies, science, and more!
firedragon1919- i think it would be OK if it helps the students learn better.And it will help the students that have a hard time in school.Seance there using laptops and computers/ desk tops they wont have to print lots of paper for work. It would save more money for the school seance the school wont need to spend large amounts of money on paper for the students.The computers will be easier for the kids to use and it will help the kids learn all the things they would normally learn like science math and social studies
I like it. Its a good idea, you are still teaching the kids. But having fun! Like playing minecraft to build roller coasters and Ancient Greek and Roman architecture. I think that the mine craft is a cool idea but yet again it is also the same as just doing it on paper and i mean your not learning to write by that your just clicking things. changing the classroom is cool to but its a lot of money just spent when you can just keep the classroom you have it would save you a lot of money. by:lime green

Although I would like that you would start to wonder about what it would do to your eyes and brain, it could ruin kids eye sight. The issues that would come up would be that some kids may create a game that is fairly too violent and thus create the risk of banning computer programming. "The tech industry is officially out to remodel your kid's classroom -- and it feels like there's a good chance that it's going to succeed. After years of more or less resisting the pull of the web, both college and K-12 seem ripe to be remade for the digital age." This is actually quite true, ever since the digital age came out, all kids born within the timeline seem to adore the technology, unless they were born and raised under olden times. I, honestly, adore games myself, most likely to be on Skype or FeralHeart. But I find this idea of teaching Computer Programming like Algebra, absolutely brilliant. -SilverPaw1920

Because that we could learn a little bit of everything. yes every student should do this because they could at least learn it but do it at their own level. the issues that would come up would be that somtimes students would be left behind from learning to fast.
I think High School should treat computer class like Algebra because with humanity growing more and technologically advanced, the business's and financial world are catching up with the rest of the world and finding new and efficient ways to do work, so learning all the new technology can aid in you finding any type of job you wanted. Also with playing the games in school, like Prezi which is used for solving math problems, can improve your school work and it also alerted when the kids were having trouble and the teacher could then help them.
